Optimism In Blockchain Industry Booms Despite Global Recession

Jobs in blockchain continue to increase as the U.S. hits its highest unemployment rate in history.

According to a recent article in Forbes, Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is expanding its workforce by 10 percent.

With a current team of 800, Kraken is looking to hire 67 members in the coming weeks.

Many of the listed job openings are for people who are hospitality professionals with skill sets focused around the liberal arts.

Indeed.com featured more that 114 million blockchain-related jobs in December, before the coronavirus was first reported.

In February, that number had increased by more than three percent to 118.4 million.

At a recent blockchain media event in China, Bitmain founder Jihan Wu expressed great optimism for the industry for 2020.

Gemini cryptocurrency exchange co-founder, Tyler Winklevoss, stated on Twitter that bitcoin is the “only vaccine in the world that can give you immunity to the money printing disease.”
