Italy’s Banca Sella Launches Bitcoin Trading Service

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Italy’s Banca Sella has announced they will be launching a bitcoin trading service.

Banca Sella will utilize the Hype platform, and the bank will act as an intermediary between cryptocurrency exchanges.
Approximately 1.2 million Italians use Banca Stella’s Hype and soon they will be able to utilize the service to pay for goods and services with cryptocurrency.

“The cryptocurrency and Bitcoin market in particular continues to arouse interest, especially among the public that constitutes our customer base — by definition young and smart and who, increasingly, expect to be able to access this world through the tool that they use to manage money on a daily basis,” said Antonio Valitutti, General Manager at Hype.
Italian interest in the underlying blockchain technology has also been on the rise.
Blockchain technology has been implemented to electronic voting in Napes, as well as, two Italian high schools who will record diplomas on a blockchain.
Conio, a Milan-based startup also announced they will offer additional bitcoin wallets on the Hype platform.
