Chainlink Expands Rapidly in 2021, Onboarding Partners at Twice the Rate of 2020
Top cryptocurrency Chainlink has announced its onboarding new partners at twice the rate in 2021 compared to 2020.
The Chainlink blockchain has onboarded new partners at a rate higher than 1.4 partners per day during 2021.
Approximately 43 percent of Chainlink’s 650 third-party integrations were onboarded this year.
In 2020, Chainlink inked partnerships with roughly 250 partners.
Huobi’s ECO Chain has recently chosen Chainlink, along with Alchemix, and the Hedera Governing Council.
The Chainlink blockchain includes Verifiable Random Functions (VRF) technology. This offers decentralized applications an automated and secure solution for random generation.
Blockchain-powered game Infinity Skies recently announced they will begin utilizing Chainlink’s VRF technology to distribute in-game loot evenly.
“Since loot is probabilistic and NFTs hold real value to players, it is imperative that the minting of loot cannot be ‘gamed’,” Infinity Skies stated.
“Chainlink VRF provides the Infinity Skies’ smart-contract responsible for chest opening with direct access to a tamper-proof and auditable random number to determine outcomes when opening chests.”
PancakeSwap has also announced they will be integrating VRF for a decentralized lottery application, along with other projects using VRF to ensure all rewards are verifiable and evenly distributed.
